THE BEST OF ZEN
BEST OF ZEN GRAPHIC NOVEL - 2010
BEST OF ZEN features a rather complete overview of the creating of ZEN and is a hand picked compilation of our favorite stories from the over 95 (lost count) books out there in the world.
Zens' story has been interpreted by many talented artists. He has gone from lithe ninja to steroidal muscle beast in the wink of a pencil. From a faceless to faced alien. Even his eye color changes. Regardless of his visual metamorphasis, Zen represents the best of what an ALIEN HERO MERCENARY BORN IN A TESTUBE is.

ZEN 3D
DOOMSDAY FOR ZEN 3D - 2011
ZEN 3D is a very unique book. Two years in the making. One year drawing the full page art, (1993) One more year to tear it apart into the layers that make it so deep.
Originally published in bw as DOOMSDAY FOR ZEN, in response to the DEATH OF SUPERMAN. The story was worked out in my favorite medium, pen/ink. The lavish full page illustrations were the main reason I decided this would work well as an ANAGLYPH (classic red/blue) 3D book. I was prodded by Steve after meeting DR. DAVID BERDER at his home outside London. DR. BERDER explained how ANAGLYPH worked. I did not believe I could pull it off, but experimented with it anyway. What I discovered was that it worked REEEEALLLLLLY well. Because the images are lavishly detailed and full page, they are EXTRAORDINARILY IMPACTFUL.
I love when kids see this book at cons. Kids are so honest in their reactions to things that delight them. It's the first time in their little lives they have seen something like this. Their mouths drop open and they jump up and down. It's very gratifying.
